I was not surprised. This just showed one of the few times Joan was balanced towards her daughter. One of the times her mental illness/unfortunate upbringing was not affecting her treatment of Christina.
"Do All Things For God's Glory"-1 Corinthians 10:31
I try doing this with my posts

I was waiting for a, "That's very good, Tina, but a rich life is one of constant striving to better oneself. I want this next semester to have you working even HARDER! After all, an accomplishment isn't an accomplishment without a good challenge.
Right
, Tina?"
And I hated the way Christina said it, too. "I got all A's! One B." Well dumpling that ain't all A's then, is it?
Every time Miss Voodoo is asleep Shelly walks hard as beep and it wakes her up.
