I disagree. I thought Diana Scarwid was just as effective as Mara Hobel. I thought she was able to really play the tender scenes so well because she did not over play the abuse scenes.

It definitely loses steam in general, but it features my favorite part, which I guess is obvious from my avatar.
I still laugh at the way Dunaway rises up from choking Christina and just HOWLS at nothing like a demon is exiting her body. She legit looked like she was evolving into some sort of monster.
Every time Miss Voodoo is asleep Shelly walks hard as beep and it wakes her up.

They show Christina as older. I love Mara Hobel's performance and I just feel like the movie isn't as good when Diana Scarwid comes on. =(
The film definitely loses something once Scarwid takes over the role. I
