Did the ending feel rushed to anyone else? I mean, I understood that
The sheriff was the jilted lover.
But there's no pay-off to it at all. He's unmasked and a millisecond later he's dead. No explanation, no monologue, just head blown apart. And the ending scene was just really, really stupid.
But the whole movie after the first 50 minutes just fell apart. It's sad because I was ready to buy the movie. But the bizarre and rushed ending just brought it down from one of my favorite slashers to just a good one. Anyone else?

He had no need to remove his mask either other than for the effects shot. Why reveal his identity?
Yes he's the sheriff but if she got away she could tell another sheriff.

I agree that it fell apart but after about 40 mins for me. I loved it up til then but yes reveal and stupid "shock" ending buried it in the mediocre pile for me
