<p dir="auto">In case anyone is interested, Felix Farmer's line "but all my friends and all my foes it gives a lovely light" comes from Edna St. Vincent Millay's poem, Second Fig; which was publishing in A Few Figs From Thistles (1920). Felix may have misquoted her (putting friends before foes) or maybe it was like that in script (who know and who cares!) I still like his delivery of that line and I like both Figs. (also check out The Ballad of The Harp Weaver)<br />
I burn my candle at both ends;<br />
It will not last the night;<br />
But ah, my foes, and oh, friends-<br />
It give a lovely light!<br />
There were only two Figs, here is the second one:<br />
Second Fig<br />
Safe upon the solid rock the ugly houses stand:<br />
Come and see my shining palace bulit upon the sand!</p>
