Did she have a Scouser accent on Brookie? She doesn't have one at all in real life, and I was too young to remember how she spoke on the soap.

The scouse accent is consistently voted the most popular accent in country so we are most definitely not embarrassed by it. My memory of brookie was that most were scouse. But we are a diverse city and welcome foreigners (Liverpool voted remain in Brexit), including southerners.

It's interesting because Corrie is very different. There were a lot more southern accents in Brookside than I've ever heard in Weatherfield.
I've never been up North so I'm not sure if this is something realistic, like maybe Scousers are more embarrassed by their accent than Mancunians.

She wasnt posh, she was just a well-enunciated Lancashire lass, so her accent was not too far from a Liverpudlian one but closer to Mancunian. Her psycho dad was Irish and her mum and sister, to my memory at least, had the same Northern accents.Anna Friel wasn't posh posh she just spoke well. And the chap who played Max was a northerner too so hardly proper posh, just well-spoken northern
I have many bullets for many celebrities. They better not make me angry

A few of them were posh like Max and David.

I don't think she did actually. I think she had a rather posh voice.
If I remember right, it was her git of a dad and her sister that had the accent strangely enough
