As the movie opens, this beautiful, haunting melody is chopped up to tiny snippets with long segments of mad motor/freeway noises. Some director thought that was cool.
I think the theme is also at the end credits is it? This is often chopped and I hate to spend $20 any copy of the movie without it. A movie soundtrack quality would be best.
This theme song is right up there with, maybe better than, Carol Anne's Theme from Poltergeist and Quentin's Theme (Shadows of the night) from Dark Shadows. This theme (associated with the ghost, Jennifer) is truly haunting, sad, melancholy yet delightfully joyful and indescribably beautiful with a young girl's innocence.
It is one of the most underrated and unknown scores in movie history. How do I get it?
