I loved the music in this film! Just wondering if a soundtrack was ever released for it? I would love to get my hands on it! Or just find out more information!

Glad that it helped you, I wasn't familiar with the movie, I'm just a collector of Klaus Schulze, but I watched part of the movie on Youtube.
My guess is that it is the scene at approx 1h 02m, that you're reffering to.
If so it's easy: Ludwig II von Bayern from the album "X", it's a classic.
I don't know if you have checked out Klaus Schulze's web-site, if not, you should try that.
If this is not helpful, then please respond with the approx. time of the scene.

It definitely did, I was able to find most of the music that I loved in the film on youtube, I'm just missing the music that plays during the scene where Linda runs from the house from Dr. Barton through the woods/field to find Barney. I love that music!

I don't really know if an actual soundtrack was released, but the music was made by Klaus Schulze, a famous german musician. According to "The Works", which is a really extensive (244 pages) list over his musical works: records, concerts etc. made by his manager Klaus D. Mueller, he used various parts of outtakes from the albums: "X", Body Love (actually the soundtrack from a porn movie, by Lasse Braun), Dig it and Dune. The opening and the end of the movie should be from a track named: Death of an Analogue from the album Dig it.
Also if you find the 2005 reissue of the 1983 album Audentity by Klaus Schulze, there is an addition to the album called Gem (tracks 4 to 8 on disc 2), which is a kind of prework to the Next of Kin soundtrack.
Hope this helps to answer your question!!!
