An English guy had a site awhile ago where he postulated that in the scene following MacCready's and Copper's initial helicopter depature where the Siberian dog looks into a cabin room, the shadow looks bk at it and puts its earphones bk on and the dog enters, that it is not known who the shadow belongs to. It's obviously Palmer's shadow! In silhouette and movement. Furthermore, later on, when they are arguing Doc's and MacCready's discovery at the Norweigen Camp, the camera zooms in slowly on Palmer.
