and the evil True Knot shiners. His notion of Shiners in<br />
The Shining<br />
were more about a benevolent gift.<br />
Doctor Sleep<br />
arose out of expanding this.<br />
Christine was possessed straight off the assembly line and this could lead to many theories of why.<br />

I ask this because, I have this theory that Christine had the "shine."  Stephen King wrote both.<br />
Those with the shine have the ability to possess things, to take over something. It's likely that Christine was being controlled by a person with the Shine.<br />
Carrie had the shine, also.</p>
