It's a good thing the boy lives in the movie. It would just be too much otherwise. Most viewers, myself included, after all that, would be furious.<br />
"Mom has rabies, kid dies, marriage probably over, oh well." Some ending.</p>

<p dir="auto">You're right Tad does die in the book.  However Stephen King said somewhere that he regrets killing off the boy.  He said the one stipulation he had when the movie was made was the little boy would survive.</p>

What do you mean by that there's there is one to many people out there? And why to you conceal it as a spoiler?</p>
