This was made into a play that I saw last week. Molly was great.
One comment about the movie (and now the play) that always bugged the hell out of me. I can accept that Aurora was update, self righteous and arrogant but still had a deep love for her daughter. However, when she went to Garret's house for dinner and was mocking his astronaut memorobilia as using it to turn into a sex trap I was disgusted by this. As he pointed out there are about 100 astronauts and he's one of them! I agree. Who the f was she to criticize this??? Where does she get off? Did she have a job, and if not did she volunteer for any charities or do something that was worth showing off??? If not than who is she to judge him or anyone??? I always bought her character and felt she was respectable despite her intensity but this to me I felt made her seem ridiculous.
