<p dir="auto">these early 80s Vietnam movies (like Uncommon Valor &amp; Missing In Action) is they open up showing Americans running for the helicopters. Did this happen to platoon sized units ever? Or is it something that Hollywood made up?<br />
They should have shown them making a stand, if your in a LRRP unit you'd know that running through a rice paddy will get you killed. It was like every man for himself, at least Col. Trautman made an attempt to get Rambo in part 2.</p>
