So I just finished a bit ago watching the first episode of the revival series of Airwolf with Barry Van Dyke and Geriant Wynn Davis. Oh boy was this hard to watch, it really shows the quality of the original series was far and away superior and I really feel that Barry Van Dyke was just a so so actor and just lucky to work. I do like Geriant Wynn Davis as an actor and looking at his filmography is still quite a busy actor. The rest of the cast is quite forgettable unfortunately.
I think the episode of Blackjack is fair but the production quality the way it was made really brings the series down to another level. It was cool to see Jan-Michael Vincent back in the Hawk role but you can tell his drug abuse had already taken a toll on his body, really sad if you ask me.
(Spoiler Alert)
The only scene that really sticks out is the end scene with Hawk in the bed asking his brother that he did not want to die in the hospital, it was actually one of the few things that I found in the episode that was really good. But on a side note it really made me sad that Jan-Michael Vincent had really let the series down that it had to end its original run with the way it did. If only he had not fallen into drugs the way he had us fans of the original series would have of been so much happier with more seasons of the original.
Just my two cents for the day
