Season 4 episode 19 ( blood and roses) Gina is so DUMB and STUPID..She slept with a suspect-Again. She was raped 2 or 3x by other guys who were suspects in previous cases. And each time her lieutenant told her be careful and take Trudy with you cause this guy is dangerous. And each time she says I'll be fine and all 3x she was raped. And you would think she'd learn but she didn't.

What three times? I only remember the sleazy guy in "Give a Little, Take a Little" and that was borderline whether you could call it even command rape (though she did feel lousy enough it didn't make a lot of difference afterward). She could have balked, but it would have blown the investigation. Still, she was tough enough to kick his ass if she'd needed to do it. She certainly was tough enough to blow him away at the end. She just chose to go through with sleeping with him and stay within her role. It was an ugly choice, but it was one she made.
Gina didn't do anything dumber or sleazier than either Crockett or Tubbs did. I mean, Tubbs freakin' slept with the daughter of the guy who had his brother blown away and fathered a child with her less than a third of the way through season one. And Switek shot a bunch of guys in the last episode to get out of a gambling debt and Internal Affairs investigation. As for Crockett, welleven without the Sonny Burnett, Hitman storyline, he was all over the place most of the time.
Personally, I liked that Gina got to have her own storylines where she had difficult cases and moral dilemmas. And she and Trudy stood up for each other as much as Crockett and Tubbs did.

Yeah that was great when she did that. I like Gina too but she has been raped at least 3 times and she lets it happen..But oh well

All of the detectives in the show (except Switek and Zito) slept with "bad guys" throughout the series.
I will always love Gina because she blew away that Irish prick, Liam Neeson.
I see the works of gifted hands that grace this strange and wondrous land
