I really cant. Maybe im too young at 25?
Its just not working for me.
I love 80s TV. Magnum P.I, The A Team, Knight Rider, Simon & Simon, Airwolf, the list goes on and on (so does the list of movies)
But holy sht guys this show
Painful. Heres the thing, the acting from the two leads is fine, the stories are usually interesting but its just so outlandish, so extravagant, such an assault on the senses. The bright colours and horrific clothes! Yeah i know its supposedly a fashion staple but for me, I'll take magnums blue jeans and Hawaiian shirt over Crockett's white suit with a glow in the dark pink t shirt and slip ons with no socks! Its almost like it was made today and is trying really hard to recapture the 80s rather than a show that was from the 80s.
I saw 6 episodes of season one and quit.
Am i crazy?

Based on this (and this is a total stab in the dark), have you seen the 2006 movie? Has nothing to do with the colors, style or extravagance of the show, and that might better suit what you're looking for.
It's also possible that a later season might do the same. Season 3 might be a good place to jump in; it's when they moved toward earth-tones and adopted a different flavor of mood.
