LMAO it's the farthest thing from garbage, it's cheesy yes but the stories are cool as hell. All except for just a few that were lame. Like B.O.T.

Inconsistent, yes. Awful, no. It's certainly not up to par with what animation has become today (for some shows), but it is far above and beyond what a lot of animation was at the time.
And many of the stories are pretty good: More than Meets the Eye, War of the Dinobots, Fire in the Sky, Masquerade, Starscream's Brigade, The God Gambit, Megatron's Master Plan, War Dawn, etc.
It's not close to garbage. Sure, it was just a half hour commercial, but there was effort put into the stories and characters.
