I somehow never watched Beverly Hills cop. Decided to check it out tonight. I gotta say it was a little overrated. Not horrible and kept my interest through the whole movie, but not really laugh out loud funny. Coming to America was much funnier in my opinion

BHC 2 was an abortion of a movie. I won't event talk about the third one.
Also, most comedies generally don't age well, specifically because much of the humor is rooted in pop culture and current events at the time of filming. For example, the scene with Foley walking down the street when he arrives in BH and passes the 2 people in all leather Michael Jackson outfits. At the time, it was pretty damn funny. But if someone were watching today (and especially if they weren't even alive when the movie came out) then they won't get the humor because they probably never saw MJ wearing that crazy ish back in the day.

Both Beverly Hill's Cop 1 and 2 were and still are best funny cop movies from the 80's. Coming to America was funny but it did have some boring parts. But to me the funniest one is with him and Dan ackroyd is Funny as hell. Just can't remember the name.
