See this film. It kicks ass. Its a cryin' shame that no one else has anything to say about it. Its got the best of Alan Parker and Cage's best performance bar none.

It was on the Sundance Channel twice todayso if you have DirecTV or a service that carries the Sundance Channel - watch the listingsit may come on again really soon. I saw it for the first time today actually (I'm a big Matthew Modine fan) and I loved this movie (though I could have done without the many scene's of his ass).
Anyways - yeah, chances are it will be on again soon, so if you have the Sundance Channel - it may be on within the next couple days

I've been looking for this movie, can't find it anywhere. I wish people had more to say about it, kind of dissapointing.

it's wonderful, it's brilliant! i don't think that it could be made any better than this! this movie is the proof of the capacity of alan parker (one of my favorite directors) as a director. the acting is great; this is the film that makes me reconsider the talent of nicholas cage (with his great composition). i don't even need to mention the performance of matthew modine which was simply incredible (oh, i did mention!). and, what's wrong with the ending? in my opinion, everything was just right!

Did anyone else pay attention to George Buck's performance? He was the father. I've seen him in a number of films and he has quite an impressive resume.

~ This movie was wonderful
. I just saw it last night. I think this was one of Cage's & Modine's best role.

Saw it back in 85, one of my favorites! Back when Cage knew a good role when he saw it. Modine is incredible as well.

I totally agree with you, this is a great movie even if the end is not really good. I prefer Nicolas Cage in that kind of performance that in movies like Gone in sixty seconds. The Peter Gabriel's music gives a good mood and even Matthew Modine is great in the leading role.
