<p dir="auto">Why do you think it was silly? IMHO, there HAD to be a confrontation between Jake, Wendy, Brian and Sam. It was inevitable and had been building up throughout the movie.<br />
Would you have preferred the ending be something like Sam just get the dope, drop Jake off and leave because he was fed up with the kids? No way was he intending on leaving!!!!</p>

<p dir="auto">Thanks!  I saw this film many years ago on Encore, didn't catch the title and could never figure out what film it was.  Now I see it's been released on blu-ray, albiet on a niche label with a very high price tag, but may have to check it out again sometime.</p>
