The Final Chapter is probably more violent, but Halloween 4: The Return Of Michael Myers is probably a better movie. Depends on one's mood and taste also.

i really love both but Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter is so much scarier

I have stronger nostalgic feelings for TFC, but Halloween 4 is a better movie.

"F13:TFC" by far over "Halloween 4." I was looking forward so much to the return of Michael Myers and the continuation of the story from "Halloween 2" but "H4" just fell flat from a writing and directorial standpoint. Donald Pleasance almost saved the film but his supporting cast (including stuntman George Wilbur as Michael Myers) was just horrid. Mike looked like he was wearing shoulder pads the entire film, he hadn't lost any muscle mass from being in a coma for ten years, and the mask was completely wrong.
"F13:TFC," while being a very flawed film itself, far outshone its predecessor and had a much more engaging cast and villain than "H4."

Jason was a beast by 4 a monster.
MM looked like a Geography teacher walking around, looking like a goof in the final act grasping at thin air, an amateur.
H4 looked like a TV movie with the kills to match.
Friday 4 was brutal.

This defo! so many good memories of this as a kid.

This, only for the fact is that my friends (at the time) thought it was legit that this would be the final chapter.
By the time we saw Halloween 4, it seemed like the series was out of steam and it was more to see how they'd bring MM back.
