I was wondering since he was only 12 when the movie was being filmed.

You'll notice when he ran into the woods and saw everyone naked, he wasn't actually on-camera with them. Instead, the camera cut from him to the skinny-dipping to his sister or mother (can't remember) sternly telling him, "Turn around!" I know that child actors tend to be exposed to a lot of risque things in Hollywood. However, in "Home Alone" when Kevin was looking at Buzz's Playboy magazine, the pages were taped together so 9-year-old Macaulay Culkin wouldn't see any nudity.
A 12-year-old boy looking at naked women live in the flesh vs. a 9-year-old boy just looking at a nudie magazine, pretty much evens out when it comes to what's inappropriate regarding their ages and whether they were exposed to the real thing or still images.
