I've just bought a new copy of this for $5 from one of those 'cheap' dvd shops that basically stock 99% crap (that are actually good fun, as an exhaustive search through the dross invariably turns up a few gems) and, though it states that the film is in 4x3 full frame, it is in actual fact in widescreen, just not 16:9 enhanced.
Not ideal, but much more preferable than a straight pan and scan, and by using the right picture mode on the tv, looks almost as good as it should. Almost.
I'm in Melbourne by the way, and got it on Smith Street in Collingwood for any Melbournites out there that may stray across this post. It is released by Magna Pacific.
