BBC showed this over christmas and still after so many views - it's just pure fun! Whole family enjoying it. The music, costumes, scenery, action Everything is just perfect adventure escapism.
Opening song, Escaping the crashing plane, Disgusting banquet, Booby-trapped spike room, Gruesome sacrifices, Mine-cart ride, Rope bridge showdown. It's impossible for me to watch this without a huge smile on my face.
And the goofy moments are all part of the fun. I love how dark the film gets - literally subterranean. It feels hot and gritty. And once the audience is taken into the temple, we don't see sunlight till the end - Just like the characters.
How awesome Harrison Ford was at this time. Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Blade Runner, even a part in Apocalypse Now. What a movie star!
