Was she really singing in Cantonese or was it just gibberish?

Is this referring to the scene at the very beginning? I rewatched that scene about 10 times and as a speaker of both Mandarin and Cantonese, I also attest that she was saying neither. Maybe she was trying to say something and it wasn't entirely just made-up gibberish but it certainly didn't result in anything coherent.
Not that it even matters, considering how unintelligible she was, but if it was set in Shanghai and she was playing for the Mainland audience, her character should've spoken Mandarin.
That said, Lao Che and his underlings also did not speak understandable neither Mandarin or Cantonese! Perhaps they spoke another regional dialect? I can't tell if it's Shanghai-nese either. Anyway, it's definitely NOT normal standard Mandarin or Cantonese.
The background extras (other customers) in the club spoke Cantonese during the shootout.
The airplane pilots definitely spoke Cantonese.
And Shorty also spoke Cantonese.

This scene is on Youtube and a couple of posters who claim to speak Mandarin and Cantonese have claimed it isn't either language, so who knows? Someone needs to transcribe what they hear in the movie and run it through babelfish or something.

that would make sense as that scene was in Shanghai
