Its power is extraordinary.<br />
I cannot think of any monologue even approaching this intensity - Kurtz in Apocalypse Now a distant second IMHO<br />
This scene us what cinema was invented for.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think the scene at the end when Jane is reunited with Hunter in the hotel is the most affective scene ever. I was literally bawling when I watched it for the first time (alone, thank God).</p>
