I've never been disturbed or suicidal and this is also one of my favorite movies but I have to wonder why it is important that we know Cobain's feelings about the movie. He wasn't a movie critic, he wasn't important to the movie industry, he didn't have anything to do with movies. His opinion carries no more weight than the garbageman who picks up my trash or the cashier who rings up my groceries.

Ian Curtis actually killed himself while watching "Stroszek" - I wouldn't worry to much. Paris Texas is my favorite movie of all time and I do suffer from some mental illness but oh well, enjoying art is enjoying art.

This is the best movie ever made.
Let's face it, the people who are most likely to commit suicide are those who see through the crap the world has to offer and can't handle what they see.
Sam Shepard writes about real life better than anyone, so it does not surprise me that people who are that in tune with the real world say they love this movie.

Gasp! I heard out of the 678 million people who saw Avatar 77.8 million absolutely loved it, and of those 11 were murderers. I once had a dream about killing someone and I kinda liked Avatar too, and now I'm freaking out here because I don't want to become a murderer as well. ANYONE FEEL LIKE THIS TOO?

That's awful generalization and I would not worry. I just watched the movie (it's still too fresh to evaluate) but it made powerful impression on me. It's a great movie about tragedy and redemption. Sure, it is hard to take it all in in one viewing but it is well worth the effort.
About Kurt Cobain I never seriously gave thought to suicide as solution for my life ills so I can not relate. That said, I think that shot of Jane and Hunter embracing at the end of the movie is so positive and powerful it should make anyone with suicidal thoughts reconsider or at least postpone their plans.
I was mild fan of Kurt Cobain. Knowing that he liked "Paris, Texas" so much, I like him much more.

This is one of my top-5 all-time favorite films, I watched again last night. Its a beautiful work that comes as close to perfection as any film I've ever seen. I think there is someting in the main characters that speaks to certain people on a very deep level. The film is a tragedy at its essence. Therefore, there is an appeal to people who like dark films. But this film is so much more than that. This film is so rich and contains so much truth, I think its an injustice to label it as a "dark" film liked by dark people. Paris Texas is a timeless masterpiece. For me, its shows there can so much beauty in human tragedy. Its like a great novel, where every character, every scene, every line is perfectly woven together to create a great yet tragic story. One could write a dissertation about this film.
I would imagine this is a favorite film of many people. I never knew that about Kurt Cobain. Maybe it means he had an appreciation for great film?
I don't think loving necessarilly this film makes you a disturbed person, maybe it means you recognize great art ).

Same feeling? Of what, killing myself? No, sorry. Better get some help.
If you are seriously asking us if two random people killed themselves that saw this movie, then you need to Google this thing called "logic", and start using it immediately. You know, a lot of people that kill themselves like hamburgers. Safer to be a vegetarian then, no?

I think people who admit to being kind of disturbed are probably more healthy than those who say 'Travis is disturbed and basically that means I am in tip top'. Whether Cobain liked it personally i don't care less. I don't like his music.
The message is don't be freaked out.
