Yes, it's a fun, stupid film. During the Reagan Era, Hollywood made many right-leaning, anti-commie propaganda films (e.g., Rambo, Missing in Action, Last Plane Out, etc.) Red Dawn was one of the more successful ones.

I freaking adore that movie. Seeing undocumented workers made me think of this movie for some reason. Especially the ending sequence. (It always made me cry)
