The film was shot in very scenic film locations in northern New Mexico near Las Vegas & Raton (on the Colorado border).
I see they filmed the ending battle scenes at the Hotel Castanada, that large historic hotel (which is being renovated) which is immediately north of the vintage ATSF (Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe) (now Amtrak) railroad station, in Las Vegas (NM).
