. . . that the baby was going to take the last remaining marble and reanimate the dead Scott, the same way "Scott" reanimated the dead deer? That was always the feeling I had 30 years ago, but rewatching it now, I don't see that they made any reference to it this time. (And yes, I know it's a lot different to reanimate something that's just a few hours dead versus something that's been dead for months.)
Did I miss something rewatching it, or did they give a hint that I'm right about this?
What do you think the baby would do with the last marble?
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I have the feeling that once you get healed by a marble, you get healed of all your stuff - which is exactly why she was able to have a baby now, after getting healed, where she couldn't have one before. So, by extension, she isn't going to get sick with anything anytime soon.
But, hmmm. Thinking about it some more - maybe the baby will use it to contact the aliens the way he used the first marble at the very beginning of the movie, and the aliens will come back and visit?
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

Honestly, from the first time I saw this film and all subsequent viewings.
I felt that when 'Scott' says:
"The baby will know [what to do with the last marble]." that he will reserve it to use to save his mother's life if she ever is seriously hurt or ill!
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
