<p dir="auto">I agree, it would have been too 80s feeling in era, if they had went synth.  Also I thought Nowhere Fast does use real drums, cause when the song is played on the stage, the drummer is banging on real drums.<br />
They are electric drums but still drums.</p>

<p dir="auto">Disagree - Too much synth would have tied it firmly to the 80s, whereas the whole movie intentionally mixes genres and eras with the styling, costumes, scenery and so on.<br />
As is, the score has a lot of synth, but it's more replication of instruments than outright Gary Numan style Electronica. Just listen to the drumbeat of Nowhere Fast, for example - I promise you that is not a real drum kit!</p>
