Between this and Predator. It's a tough choice. Predator is a perfect movie and really showed Arnold in his prime, being that badass action hero.

Green Goblin is great!

i can't believe so many people say commando is his best movie
commando sucked.
the first half was good. up until they leave the mall. then it was garbage.
i guess people like silly goofy crap.
terminator
conan the barbarian
predator
total recall
terminator 2
true lies
these are his good movies. the rest are crap.
terminator 1 and 2 are not only his best movies but the two best movies of all time along with star wars 4 and 5

Hi
My first comment ever in case you're interested!
Your post has made me think. I can not disagree with you, yet I can not really agree.
For pure entertainment. I mean something I watch on a regular basis without ever growing bored, I would have to say Commando. I mean I can watch this in my head, scene for scene when I'm bored without missing a line. Predator comes in a damn close second though.
Then again, if I'm talking about objectively good, well made, interesting script, plot, etc. Something I would expect a person who is not such a fan of the 80s style action film as I am to be impressed by, I suppose T2, Total Recall and True Lies win.
Terminator isn't in my above lists though is it? I grew up watching a small number of off the telly VHS recordings, all dark and murky and hard to see. Terminator, Conan the Destroyer, Poltergeist, Ghostbusters and Aliens were all I watched for years so T1 has a big place in my heart and I watch it often.
It is bad ass. But maybe not the best. Then again, maybe it is.

Seeing Arnie's lines written down like that is quite amusing. I like how it is largely him stating the names of objects.

If you're not a big fan of Arnold in leading roles maybe. I like this movie but I'd hardly consider it a Schwarzenegger film considering he's the antagonist and is an unthinking robot (he basiclaly is a robot with skin). Not to mention you could easily post all his lines in this movie in one post. In fact, I'll go head and do it.
"Nice night for a walk."
"Nothing clean, right."
"Your clothes! Give them to me! Now!"
"12 gauge auto loader."
"The 45 Longslide with laser sighting."
"Phased Plasma rifle in 40 watt range."
"Uzi 9 milimeter."
"All."
"Wrong."
"Sarah Connor?"
"Hey. I'm a friend of Sarah Connor. I was told she was here. Could I see her please?"
"Where is she?"
"I'll be back."
"Give me your address there."
"**** you *******."
"Get out."
He was good in this role and it did expand his career but I prefer him as the good guy than the bad guy. Of course his only other movie role where he's the bad guy is Batman and Robin. Actually he had a villain role in a TV show before this but it was laughable.
Green Goblin is great!

Naa that award goes to Commando.
Diaz: Mellow out man. We can't talk business with you waving guns in people's faces. Your daughter is safe, Colonel. Now whether she stays that way is up to you. My people, they got some business with you. And if you want your kid back, then you gotta co-operate, right?
Col. John Matrix: Wrong. blasts him
Punkt.
Definitely his signature role.
Even if a few profile-neurotic wannabe academics have to nitpick in novel length.
