<p dir="auto">the way that i took it is that she doesn't know.  at the end when she sees him on the ledge, she starts crying, but then it seems to me that she starts laughing; and i always took it that she was laughing because she thought his friends had played some kind of joke on him to get him into that predicament.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think it's intended to be ambiguous. Because what other reason would have had his wife to play the jealous scene (the shot undies scene), or the scene where Teddy goes to calm down his "crazed" buddy and she looks at them sad, like she knew what was going on?<br />
