Acclaimed writer for the cult classic cartoon Thundercats, Stephen Perry, has gone missing and is feared dead as there have been some disturbing finds near the location he was last seen. Perry had been going through tough times battling cancer and being homeless, living in his van. He was depending on fans' charity support to help put a roof over his and his 5 year old son's heads, while medical bills piled up on him.

The world is definitely a cruel place a times, but man i'm pissed hearing he was not only battling cancer but was homeless while looking after his son as well!
Truly praying for him, this is sad and depressing news to know in this world bad things happen to you regardless of your previous efforts. I won't go into the following news thats been developing on the Stephen Perry issue as its even more shocking and its open as to whats going on in terms of if its confirmed or not, but its something that goes off into police being involved and legal matters and definitely deepens into graphic content.
Remembering where i am, it might not be appropriate to divulge into all that considering younger viewers reading the ThunderCats forum pages on here, but i ask if anyone's going to leave a comment to be thoughtful on bringing up those matters for discussion on here in light of this tragic news.

Old thread I know, but I hadn't heard about this story. Really sad. I was curious to see what ever happened with this case, but the latest update I could find was that his roomate had been arrested and charged with murder in July of '10. If anyone has any more recent information please share it.

This news really become tragic. And its very sad its come when there is news of a brand new T-Cats series. Fans who were helping Perry out would've easily petitioned for him to be apart of the new series writing team or something that would've benefited him and his family.

I'm truly sadden at whats happnened! Hope the news series has some sort of passing acknowledgement of his past work on the classic ThunderCats series and he gets a tribute in the credits of the news series or something to that end. Seeing as his past efforts helped make the original, such a classic memorable show!
