There are major sound issues with the episodes that are being broadcast in the UK. Is this the case on all DVD sets and/or USA TV broadcasts?

Yes I have been watching these on Horror Channel the picture is OK but the sound is like its from a bad VHS tape.
Would help having subtitles.
