and I swore there was a scene where Rick felt confused because he started liking Terry and thought he might be gay or something, and then got angry, but was relieved, when he found out Terry was a girl. He was more upset because he didn't know the truth.
In "Just One Of The Guys" Rick does get mad but only because Terry kept the secret from him, but there was never any tension scene where he finds he has feelings for Terry and it confuses him because he doesn't realize Terry is a girl.
So what damn movie am I thinking off?

OP, the 1982 film
Victor/Victoria
has a scenario very similar to the one you described. The movie's about an unemployed female singer who pretends to be a man who's impersonating a woman. At any rate, James Garner plays a mobster who finds himself falling for this female impersonator (Julie Andrews) and wonders if he might be gay. But then it's revealed in the end that Andrews is really a woman, and Garner is relieved about that.

I came here with the exact same question. The film was nothing like the one I remembered.
So I kept digging and found this:
