This is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Alan Parsons has been my favorite musician since 1976 when the album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" was released. There are riffs of music in Ladyhawke that are perfect - most of it is not. I don't care. I love Ladyhawke and I love Alan Parsons. I actually had the privilege of seeing him in Little Rock in the late-90's. He gave a concert at the Robinson Auditorium and my daughter and I were in the 5th row orchestra. We made eye contact - he nodded at me (at least I like to believe he was looking at me). It was thrilling. My daughter said "Did he just nod at you?" I told her I hoped so. Anyway, it was grand.

I really like Alan Parsons, toobut the score for this film is atrocious. It's a square peg in a round hole and totally anachronistic for this kind of film. It was a dumb decision, one not equalled till the equally stupid decision to add modern day rock songs to A Knights Tale.
Sorry if I just ate a hamburger from your sacred cow.

Wife and I saw this movie when we were dating. At the time, we thought the music was fine.
However, we just watched it for the second time, and the music now sounds very dated. Wife commented that it sounds like a combination of The Love Boat and Logan's Run.

I specifically remember when I saw this in the theater when it came out how bad I thought the music was. I'm just re-watching it again now and my opinion hasn't changed. I think they tried to move away from the traditional score for this type of film, but it just doesn't work. I still like this movie and Rutger Hauer.

The music is laughable, it does not hold up . It like the opening of a bad 80s tv show
