A few months ago, I saw a rerun episode of Pawn Stars, and they made 2 references to this movie. A man came in with an old 1940s Schwin bike, Richard Harrison said that a bike just like that appeared in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and a moment later, an on-screen trivia fact stats it also. Of course, that bike the man who tried to sell it was the same make, but not the same one Paul Rubens used. In fact, I don't think Paul Rubens even owns the bike anymore; I think the DVD commentary mentioned that he gave it to some Hollywood museum.
