If the beginning was better than it was, The Purple Rose of Cairo wouldve been a 10/10 movie for me, i
love
this film, but i thought the beginning, despite good at setting up character and setting, was quite uninteresting and uninspired filmmaking. The moment where Mia Farrow goes to see The Purple Rose of Cairo for the first time, then it starts to pick up momentum and it never stops untill the credits role.
Disappointed about the first 15 minutes, otherwise great film
9/10
Favorite films of all time list
