No one mentioned this I found many similarities between this film and "The White Sheik".<br />
Given the artistic influence that Fellini had on Woody Allen, don't you think this is a real possibility? It certainly wouldn't be the only time!</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes it is. . .  I instantly thought of Nights of cabiria. . . both women have the same ending. . . abandoned and deceived, their future uncertain . . just like in real life.<br />

<p dir="auto">No it wouldn't, bga18. In fact, the ending of the movie is creepily similar to Nights of Cabiria.<br />
On top of that, I kept telling myself while watching the movie that Mia Farrow's performance seems an awful lot like Giulietta Masina. Ironically, Masina would play a character based on Ginger Rogers just a few years later. Strange parallels indeed</p>
