<p dir="auto">I'm not asking that challengingly; but I remember how popular the movie was in its day, and when I was watching it on television yesterday, I wondered "Why?" I thought it was interesting enough, although none, or almost none, of these characters are people I would have spent much time with even when I was their age.</p>

<p dir="auto">I think because at the time these actors were stars, so people wanted to see them. At least none of them has died yet and some have gone on to great careers.</p>
