I didn't like this character because he was a drunk and was not being responsible to his marriage and his child. Talk about someone who didn't man up.

While his character was a fairly lousy human being, I don't think Lowe's acting was any better or worse. He played an aging, charismatic frat boy that refused to grow up - I'd day he pulled it out about as well as anyone could have at the time.
