<p dir="auto">its been 30 years since Crocodile Dundee came out. it first came out in Australia on April 24th 1986 until it arrived in the U.S. 6 months later thanks to Paramount Pictures and it was a comedy hit to critics and moviegoers alike. it followed an american newspaper reporter on-assignment in the land down under to interview an outback crocodile hunter named Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee and was asked to come to New York city on the east coast of the United States. it spawned two sequels for Crocodile Dundee. "That's not a knife, That's a knife."</p>

<p dir="auto">Yes, this movie opened in American theaters on Friday, September 26, 1986, and last month had its 30th anniversary. I know I'm about a month late with this post, and that is somewhat suprising, since I seem to be remembering everything that happened in 1986 this year for its 30th anniversary. But I was 18 when this movie opened and early in my freshman year of college. I had a lot of things related to that on my mind then, and wasn't thinking about movies much at all, but I do seem to remember this movie being out then. I didn't see it then of course, but did see it at my local theater the following May, on Friday, May 8, 1987 when I was home for the summer between my two years at this college. In fact I saw sixteen movies at this theater that summer from early May until late August, this being the second one. It had been rereleased and I wanted to see it because, as I said earlier, I has heard so much about it the previous fall. And I did like it pretty good, and rented it out to watch again on our VCR in 1988. I have not seen it since, but may get it from Netflix to watch on my dvd player in the next few months. Still, happy 30th anniversary to it now.<br />
