This was the ONLY scene in the movie I didn't like. As I have become a big fan of crocodiles lately, I have done some major research on them. One thing's for sure, Sue would've been dragged in straight away. As if she could stay on the surface as a 4 metre croc was pulling her in! Don't you think that's a littlefar fetched? lol
Overall, the movie was GREAT.

I saw it in the theater and that scene scared the living crap out of me, made me jump in my seat because I was never expecting it. It scared other people as well. The scene was actually very good in that it accomplished exactly what it intended to do which is scare the audience and have Mick save Sue.
Yes it was unrealistic in that she would have been dragged in by such a big croc ambushing her like that but the audience had to see Mick save a women being attacked by a giant croc in a movie called Crocodile Dundee.

that scene scared the piss outta me as a kid. now i look at it and it makes me laugh at how fake it is. Normally, that croc would've done the death roll and sue would've been either choked by her canteen string or had her neck broken, and would've been disabled from moving. then the croc would've pulled her under, or he could've done that initially. he wouldn't have spent more than 2 seconds (or about 5 in the movie) struggling with an 120 pound set of cheeks. and then if he pulled her in, she would've drowned, and then 3 or 4 other crocs would've come, fighting for her body. in the end, Sue would've probably lost her limbs, head, and maybe breasts. then whoever has her chest and waist would try to cut it on a sharp rock and finish off the remainder of her body, or store it in a meat cache for later eating.
Reading this signature means i've had you under my control.

Yah back then I had no clue Mel was Australian and I certainly didn't think of the Mad Max movies as being 'Australian', though they did kick ass. The
movies are the first ones I remember seeing that were set in and about Australia. Oh and
. Not even sure if
The Man From Snowy River
was actually supposed to be set in Oz, though it's an Australian movie.

How about: Mad Max (1979), Mad Max: The Road Warrior (1981), and Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome (1985). You might say we Americans were on an Australian movie binge when Croc Dundee came out in 1986. LoL
