In terms of money, he's an equal to Mike Lowrey in Bad Boys. He has no family at all. They left him a substantiation amount. What's wrong with that? That it's not actually mentioned?
It's clearly in his character; He don't care about the money at all! He have & he uses some, but he don't flash it like Mike Lowrey; No expensive suits, high class furniture or anything. His car sure ain't cheap either, tuned & reinforced in most ways possible.
