The move isn't bad at all. Not sure it was needed after The Hustler which is a great movie but people should only watch this for one reason: Newman.
Paul Newman's character in this is awesome. I spend a lot of my time in bowling alleys/pool halls and I walk into everyone of them hoping I'm half as cool as Paul Newman's character in this.
