The first pool hall that Eddie, Vincent and Carmen go - which is out of business - was above this bar on the North side of Chicago. I looked it up on google maps and found a Church of Scientology is right across the street. I found it an odd coincidence since Cruise is so big into Scientology.

I don't know how long the CoS had been there. Maybe it was there when this movie was made. Maybe it was where Cruise first heard of Scientology. Who knows

They parked right across the street from Lincoln Tap Room and walked by where the CoS now is when they came out.
