The first half of the movie was great Great build up great suspense and wonder. The second half went downhill with the kid stuff. Still it was entertaining just disappointed with the drop of quality in the second half and it becoming a regular kid film after the seriousness of the first half.
Oh that's more funny then a screen door on a battle ship- Biff Tannen

I agree. The first part of the film is so well done, it had my complete attention, but the last hour is somewhat of a disappointment. It does become a family friendly Disney film with little muppets and Pee Wee Herman. I'd still take this over just about Disney film of the past decade. It's still a fun movie and I can see why it is a nostalgic favorite. I have plenty of my own.
7/10

I thought this film was excellent all round.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

This movie was and still is great. As far as it being a kids film the second half of the movie, it's a Disney film geared towards kids, soyeah.
