What was with that giant toothbrush? Does she spend all her time at carnivals or something? I guess so - meant to show that she was lonely and all. But good Lord!

I've always thought Terry's apartment had somewhat of a cozy, off beat charm. A lot of the apartments in New York in 1980s films are similar in that there's a lot going on in them, they're small, cozy, charming and maybe a little worn down, at least I've always thought that.

I thought the toothbrush was kinda cool when I saw this film many years ago, but it was just too big really.
The rest of that apartment ruled! I LOVED and still love those old movie posters.

This movie really made me realize that your bedroom/house/apartment doesn't have to be "stylish" in a What Not to Wear sense, it can just be a collection of your random stuff you like. Which is why my room looks the way it does

I agree with Classics Guy and KaiRea
She also had a giant crayon and a giant safety pin
I also liked all the little characters she had on top of her computer.
I have my cubicle at work done out like hers, except mine is all Hello Kitty and japanese stuff ^_^

She was a movie fan - they were probably props or replicas from movies she'd seen and enjoyed. Remember all the posters and stuff you see during the opening bit before she wakes up.

But I thought she had it fixed up kinda cute.
I bet that apt would rent close to $2000 a month now!
It was small, but cozy

God, I miss the 80's! And yes, I'm serious. I used to have a giant Swatch Watch on my wall, and my mom bought me a see-through phone. I still have that phone, and it still works! You can see all the wires and little light bulbs, etc. in it, and when the phone rings, it lights up. I LOVE it. Phones today are so BORING. No personality, nothing. Like I said, I miss the 80's!
