I've wondered the same thing. I particularly liked the slow dance tunewith lutes, made where Edward and Jane dance at the beginning. I just wish I knew the name of that tune!

I thought the film's score was absolutely horrible. Inappropriate most of the time and just plain bad or boring the rest of the time. How this movie ever got a "7.0" on IMDb is beyond me. Over the years I've become more and more fed up with IMDb I guess I'll try "Rotten Tomatoes" for a while.

I contacted the official Stephen Oliver website and his brother very kindly replied. Apparently there has been a lot of interest in the score so he is looking into getting the rights sorted out and getting it recorded but it may take a while.

I have it (i.e. the music). There was no soundtrack released unfortunately. But basically I rang EMI because I saw them listed on the end credits. They couldn't help. So I re-checked the video tape credits and saw that the music was by Stephen Oliver. So I got out the phone book and rang every Stephen Oliver (there were quite a few) asking if they were the ones who wrote the music to Lady Jane. Eventually one of them said 'yes', and so I asked him if he could kindly do me a tape of the score. He agreed! And for no fee (even though I, of course, offered).
However, I waited and waiteda few weeks went by so I thought I'd call again to remind him. This happened quite a few times - but EVENTUALLY I got the tape in the post, with everything on it - all the beautiful choral music aswell. Anyway, a couple of days later I rang up to thank him - and was told that he was dead. I hope it wasn't because of me.hope I didn't harrass him to death or anything.anyway, I have the music somewhere in my tape collection.

I saw this movie when it went to HBO after it's release and loved it from that moment on. I was a music composition major for awhile and LOVED the music as wellvery moving. I looked all over for the soundtrackeven called Paramount to see if there was ever anything recorded and, sadly, they said "no." Interestingly, the guy I spoke with told me that he had received many requests for it! I was glad to know that I wasn't the only one who found it haunting. The only way I was able to preserve the music was to copy the it from my VCR to my cassette deck!! Hope that helps!

Did you ever find the score for Lady Jane?

okay. this is so weird. there is no soundtrack for this movie. I watched the end credits and it says that it was performed by the royal philharmonic orchestra and it mentions one song "dances 6 wedding song" that was performed by the new london consort. that's it. well oh..it does say where it was recorded. woo hoo that helps a lot. none of the other songs are listed. I also did not see the name Stephen Oliver who was the music producer listed anywhere in the ending credits. i went over it like 10 times very slowly and it is not there. maybe it's in the beginning where i have yet to have checked but it's definitely not in the ending credits. so weird. i can't believe they didn't even list the score.
