she's basically like a daughter after a while. one he is stuck with. kind of the street urchin with reluctant older man thing.<br />
far from a love interest. there's no interest at all from either.<br />

<p dir="auto">Even though Arabella does develop a crush on Jack as the film goes on, I wouldn't call her a love interest. Probably 99.9% of the movie he seems pretty clueless about even starting a romantic relationship with her. Unless you think they might have developed a sexual relationship after the movie.<br />

<p dir="auto">I think it's kind of chemistry between the two lead actors, it is not easy to find a good bond for both male and female to get away with in movies.</p>

<p dir="auto">That seems to be a cliche of the movie with an aging cop. Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds did it a lot too.</p>
